FINNEY APPOINTED TO KEY SENATE COMMITTEES
District 27 Senator to serve as Vice Chairman of State and Local Government Committee
NASHVILLE - State Senator Lowe Finney was appointed to serve today on two key Senate committees, ending the first full week of the 106th General Assembly. Finney will serve as the Vice Chairman of the Senate State and Local Government Committee, a post he held during the previous General Assembly. In addition, Finney will continue to serve as a member of the Senate Transportation Committee.
"I'm looking forward to continuing the work that I began on these committees in the last legislative session," Finney said. "Local governments face new challenges this year, but my focus remains the same: do whatever we can to create jobs, improve education, and lessen the burden on Tennessee's working families."
Finney represents Senate District 27, consisting of Carroll, Gibson, and Madison counties.
