LOWE FINNEY RECEIVES ENDORSEMENT OF THE NRA

JACKSON – The National Rifle Association (NRA) has announced that it endorses State Senate Candidate Lowe Finney to represent the people of Gibson, Carroll, and Madison Counties. The organization calls Finney a “solid pro-gun/pro-hunting candidate who is an advocate for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms.”

“The National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund has endorsed Lowe Finney because he is a steadfast defender of the Second Amendment freedoms of law-abiding gun owners, hunters, and sportsmen in Tennessee,” said Heidi Keesling, Tennessee State Liaison for the NRA-ILA State and Local Affairs.

Finney, who received an “A” rating by the NRA, also sponsored legislation to add the right to hunt and fish to Tennessee’s constitution.  “Hunting and fishing is a pastime enjoyed by so many Tennessean’s,” Finney said.  “I grew up hunting as a child, and it is something that I still enjoy today.”

According to Keesling, Finney has shown he will protect the rights of gun owners.  “As a member of the Tennessee State Senate, Finney has demonstrated his strong commitment to our Second Amendment rights by voting for legislation to allow permit holders to carry firearms for self-defense in restaurants and parks,” Keesling said.
